Frances joined ABWA in April of 2007 and is a member of the Tu’Ya Chapter in Oklahoma City, Ok.

When she joined, Frances jumped in with both feet. Taking on the first job as Secretary in 2007-2008. Then moving up to Vice President in 2008-2009 and then to President for 2 terms from 2009-2011. Then Secretary again in 2012-2013. Frances has served on the Board of the Oklahoma Area Council and has served on both Regional and National Conference Teams with being a Co-Lead for the Auction Committee in 2011. Frances has been honored as Tu’Ya’s Woman of the year 2010 and Top Ten Candidate in 2012 and 2013.  Is now an Approved Candidate for District 2 Vice President.

I have worked for the same company ( Hertz Corporation ) for 36 years. During the 36 years have worn many hats and had the opportunity to be in a leadership and mentoring roles. Being a member of ABWA has certainly given me the confidence to step out of my box and be a stronger leader, mentor and facilitator.

Frances’ proudest moment was being named one of the Oklahoma’s Journal Records Top Executive Assistants in 2011. This honor was given to 35 woman who showed outstanding company support and leadership skills. Another one of her proudest moments was being selected to be one of the Co-Leads for the Auction Committee at the National Conference in Irving Texas. What an Honor!!!

Frances believes one of the secrets to her success is treating everyone with respect and “doing unto others as you would have them do unto you”. By doing this people will see that you are a genuine and sincere person and will stand beside you to help you succeed in all that you do. They will see that you will stand beside and support them in all they do. She would love to help all woman move from the back of the room to the front into whatever leadership role they would like to accomplish.

Frances believes that the ABWA friendships that she has made in the past 9 years has seen her through the roughest times in her life the past 2 years. I feel so Blessed and eternally grateful for those friendships.
